DrupalCamp NJ 2017

Personalizing your Drupal Site with Open Atrium

In this session we will discuss how we built a portal for Students, Faculty and Staff to provide a personalized experience at Stevens Institute of Technology. Using Open Atrium we have built a communication tool for our community to get important links, see whats happening around campus and be notified when they need to act on something.

We’ll show how this portal has integrated the various systems and sites used throughout Stevens into a single, easy-to-use tool. We’ll discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using Open Atrium and show how using analytics we provide users more of what they want and less of what they don’t.

Members of the Higher Education community have never been hesitant to provide feedback and boy have we gotten a lot. Hear the good, the bad, and the ugly and then we’ll discuss what’s next on our roadmap.
