Software development has some classic books that have stood the test of time. You've probably heard of them, but how many have you actually read?
This session will give you a chance to discover that some of the issues you are grappling with are not new, for instance:
- Why do we give away code for free?
- Why is D8 using Dependency Injection (and what the heck is it anyway)?
- Why won't this project ever end?
- How do I get people to do good work?
- Why don't end users understand how to use the site?
Many of these questions even have answers!
Books that will be reviewed include:
- The Cathedral and the Bazaar
- Design Patterns (gang of four)
- The Mythical Man Month
- Peopleware
- Don't Make Me Think
- And more...
